Supported Media:  

By default Movie Organizer Deluxe supports DVD and CD media; however, you can add other media options manually just by typing them into the field.

Features Set:  

Movie Organizer Deluxe is the only DVD Collection software we evaluated that did not include some kind of automatic upload. With Movie Organizer Deluxe you have to input all your movie details like title, director, cast, studio and more manually.

We found that Movie Organizer Deluxe’s default fields included most of the basic requirements like actors, director and cover art, but like any traditional database program it allows you to add all kinds of additional fields and information. However, the process is extremely cumbersome and front end heavy.

Searching for movies is also very traditional using field search with exact phrase, or one word match. It is easy to figure out but not particularly impressive.

Ease of Use:  

As a general rule database software is not easy to use, that is why we put so much weight in this section of our DVD Collection software review. Unfortunately, Movie Organizer Deluxe is just a reworked database that still isn’t easy to use. The interface is dated and the average movie collector will quickly become frustrated.

Even after evaluating multiple DVD Collection software programs and being familiar with database software we found Movie Organizer Deluxe hard to use.

We were really confused the option of multiple “templates” that we suspect is suppose to make the program’s interface easier to use.

Ease of Installation/Setup:  

This is probably Movie Organizer’s silver lining. We had no problems downloading and installing the software.

Help/Support:  

Software that is difficult to use requires better help and support than most. Movie Organizer Deluxe includes a decent user guide and manual, and email support. They also have an online tutorial, but we weren’t really impressed.

Movie Organizer Deluxe is an expensive, complicated database software that makes you do all the leg work.
